Hardy Fence Handrails can be built for either light-weight commercial or heavy duty commercial/industrial applications. A typical commercial railing project that will be primed and painted would utilize Schedule 10 Pipe (unless Schedule 40 Pipe is specified). Schedule 10 Pipe is durable under normal conditions. However, it is not suitable for a hot dip galvanization bath. If your railing requires galvanization, we highly recommend Schedule 40 Pipe and solid square tubing in order to withstand the 850 degree temperature bath that galvanization requires without warping. City, State, and Government projects typically require a 42-inch high railing with a handrail placed at 36 inches from the ground. These railings and handrails are custom built and vary slightly in overall design and materials used depending on your specific requirements.
