Wood Fence Staining & Finishing

Hardy Fence uses an oil based semi-transparent sealer and stain in one.  It is a unique blend of resin, pigment oil, and algaecide that penetrates deeply into wood to protect and preserve it from the harsh DFW climates.  We recommend having Hardy Fence dip your untreated wood pickets, cap and face boards.  This guarantees coverage on all sides of your board preventing natural oils from escaping the wood fiber and protecting your boards from moisture damage.   

Our Trans-oxide pigment helps protect your boards from fading and graying.  Trans-oxide materials contain pieces of metal that refract the sun providing UV protection.  The darker the stain the higher level UV protection received.  Note: Trans-oxide material is not available in gold.  Our gold stain contains a clay pigment which give some UV protection but, not as much as other colors. 

To properly maintain your fence, a light cleaning and re-coat is recommended every 3 to 4 years.
